To accomplish this, ProPatch uses a matrix of relays (a lot of them). No FET switches, no games with gain staging, no electronics in the signal path, no compromises. Routing in ProPatch has zero effect on your audio signals because the path is effectively a “straight wire.” ProPatch signal chains are configured and managed using an app that supports Windows, Mac or iPad OS. The app provides easy to use creation of complex device chains, including mults, mono to stereo, inserts, processors, AB groups and many more intuitive and useful shortcuts. All of these can be saved, recalled and associated with sessions. Eliminate the usual workflow pause experienced when configuring manual patch bay systems and keep projects in the groove and flowing with ProPatch.
Relay Switching
Using relay switching has many advantages. It is ultra-reliable, based on telecom-scale technology rated for millions of cycles. It requires little power to operate and generates no heat, eliminating the need for a fan. Because the signal path is “just a wire,” it can pass full bandwidth audio signal, mic level, phantom power, control voltage, digital audio and MIDI. It is agnostic to the signals being routed. The relays are latching, so if a ProPatch loses power, the current routing remains in effect.
Plenty of connections
Rear panel DB25 connectors provide 48 channels of I/O, while front panel I/O includes 16 TT I/O pairs, 4 XLR/TRS combi jacks and 4 TRS jacks. Use these to integrate ProPatch into an existing TT patchbay system, quickly connect temporary gear, or scale up and create a larger system by interconnecting multiple ProPatch units.
