The Sony ECM-100U Hi-Res Microphone is a uni-directional condenser microphone designed to perfectly capture the raw sound of instruments. Providing a powerful studio and live tool for recording instruments of all types, the ECM-100U provides flat frequency response from 20Hz up to 50 kHz. This fits into Sony's ethos of Hi-Resolution audio products. The ECM-100U uses a two-part metallic body construction originally used in the famous C-800G studio mic to prevent acoustic vibration and self-noise, resulting in perfectly clear sound. The mic is fitted with a low-cut filter ideal for reducing low-frequency noise and giving you an option to reduce LF as a result of the proximity effect. There is also a -10dB pad switch for added headroom where necessary.

The Sony ECM-100U Hi-Res Microphone is a Uni-directional electret condenser microphone ideal for instrument recording in studio and compatible with High-Resolution Audio. Equipped with a newly developed, ultra-sensitive microphone capsule, ECM-100U delivers flat and wide frequency response of 20 to 50,000 Hz and captures the raw sound of the instrument’s original features.
